Maxim (“Max”) Kotelevets specializes in estate planning, wealth preservation, and business transactional law. Max has been an attorney for over sixteen years and has substantial experience helping clients with their estate plans, with probate and trust administration, and with business succession, planning, and transactional matters. Max is admitted to practice law in Florida, New York, and New Jersey. He received his law degree from New York Law School. Max’s prior work history includes helping to shine a spotlight on predatory mortgage practices as part of a litigation team that brought multiple class action lawsuits against twelve of the world’s largest banks in response to the mortgage-backed security crisis. Max has also litigated complex corporate lawsuits, an experience he now brings to help clients in business planning matters, including the formation and organization of new businesses, business due diligence, business operation, and the winding down of businesses. In the past, Max has dedicated time to assisting indigent clients with living wills, advance health directives, and durable powers of attorney, and has represented the Board of Directors of Angels’ Flight in Downtown Los Angeles. In his leisure time, Max, and his daughter, Olivia, love to travel and are avid readers of fantasy and science fiction. Max actively supports Olivia, who is a competitive figure skater.
